CarlTHE BRACKET WARM-UP... Mt. Park Kicked Off its 50th Anniversary Season on Saturday, April 6 with 4 classes of great competition. Carl Drake struck first in Top ET. Carl, who's win was his first in Clay City went on a tear. His Camaro was the only doorcar left in competition as the field went down to 8 cars. Carl had the tough task of taking down Josh Baker in the Qtrs, Josh Reed in the Semis, and Jeremy Mason in the Finals on his way to the victory. In the Finals Carl Dialed 5.69, his R/T was .011 and he went 5.711 while Jeremy turned on the red bulb -.007.

The first Modified (No-Box) Win for the season went to Bobby Paul Arnett. Bobby Paul is no stranger to the Winners Circle and began the season where he left-off last season. Bobby's reaction times were stellar and his Chevelle was dead-on. The finals featured Bobby Paul and Cassie Smith who had also been on top of her game during the day's events. Bobby Paul's Dialed 6.50, his R/T was .035, and went 6.530 while Cassie dialed 7.51, had a R/T of .050, and went 7.528 making the margin at the stripe a mere .003.

A couple of new faces made it to the Winners Circle in the 1/4 Mile Super Street Class. The class had Street Cars and more modified Race Cars and Motorcycles all in competition in this Footbrake Only class and when it was all said and done Jeffrey Burbrink and Austin Smith were the final 2 standing. Jeffrey dialed 11.97, had a .068 R/T and went well under his dial with a 11.905 ET while Austin dialed 12.34, had a .075 R/T and went 12.369, .029 above for the win.
